Safety City on your phone
The client portal, one tap from your Home Screen. Alarms and faults the moment they happen. What is due this month. Report an issue and track the order. There is nothing to find in an app store; it installs from this page in a few taps.
iPhone or iPad
- Open this page in Safari.
- Tap the Share button (the square with the arrow).
- Scroll and tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
On an iPhone, alerts only work from the Home Screen version. Do this step first, then turn alerts on.
Android
- Open this page in Chrome.
- Tap Install the app above, or the ⋮ menu, then Install app or Add to Home screen.
- Tap Install.
Samsung Internet works the same way from its menu.
Computer
- Open this page in Chrome or Edge.
- Click the install icon at the right end of the address bar, or Install the app above.
It opens in its own window and stays in your dock or taskbar.
What it does
What you can do in the app
- Alerts that reach you. A fire alarm or a fault shows up on your phone the moment it happens. One tap acknowledges it, so our on-call person knows you have seen it.
- What is due. The next inspections, permits, and cylinder checks for each site, and the same dates in your own calendar app.
- Report an issue. A tracking number in seconds, and a page from on-call when it is an emergency.
- Track the order. Status and the estimated completion date, updated as the work moves.
- A to-do that is usually empty. We do the work. When something needs your say-so, it shows up on the home screen and one tap approves it.
- Messages, invoices and proof. Message us here; messages also arrive by text and email. Pay an invoice by card or bank. Hand any official a printable proof of compliance.
- Every record in one place. Visits, reports, permits, photos and payments, in one history for as long as you are a client. Yours to export if you leave. The code book, permit checker and equipment dealers are there too.
- Works offline. Pages you have opened stay on the phone. Fire or danger? Call 911 first, always.
After installing
Turn alerts on, once per phone
- Open the app from your Home Screen and sign in with the code we email you.
- Go to More › Notifications and tap Enable push alerts on this device. Staff: Settings, then Get alerts on this phone.
- Allow notifications when the phone asks.
Text, email, and phone-call alerts keep working with or without the app. The app adds the push notification on top.
Is it in the App Store or Google Play? Not yet. The Home Screen version is the full app, and it updates itself. A store listing follows once the first customers are on it.
